    Like the title says, how do you do niche/keyword research?
    Do you check youtube and see what's trending? Or go to Google first?

    ANY INPUT APPRECIATED.

    I usually go to Google trends, and try and create some niches out of what's been trending.
    Seems to be somewhat working thus far.

    One method I learned from a tutorial is to download either U2BViews or Vagex viewer and watch it for about 30 minutes and see the videos that appear, and see what everybody else is uploading/boosting using traffic exchange. Typically it's PPD stuff like beta keys and keygenerators, but you can also find different stuff sometimes.

    A good technique that I use for finding niches to build sites for but that could work for creating videos;

    Go onto amazon and go to the book section, and then pick a category and sub-category that looks interesting and monetise-able. Once you've found a book of interest 9 times out of 10 you will have an option to look inside the cover to get a sneak preview. Go to the contents page and there you have it;

    A list of niches within a niche you could create content on and monetise. :)

    Just to clarify with an example;

    You find a book on fly-fishing which is quite a large niche in itself. You want to target smaller keywords within than niche, look inside the contents of a flyfishing guide book and there will be different chapters such as assembling fly tackle, how to fly cast, tying flies etc etc. :)

    Works for me anyway :)

    I use a software to scrape data from Youtube. I go after this higher trending videos. I am about to release this software exclusively to the BHW within the week.
