    2...and counting. :)

A follow up question. Do you think spending time in the forces gives you an edge in working online in your own biz?

Ex British army Royal Engineers 1985 - 1991 what a scream! Missed the camaraderie and struggled to start with in civiy street.

No sure it gave me the edge in business, but the discipline does hold you in good stead with employers

For those that replied so far...a follow-up question. I have my own theory, but I'm interested to find out what you think.
    FYI - I think yes... :)

Personally, I think that the discipline instilled in any of the armed forces is a good thing, and that those with discipline do, on average, better than those without. What do ex-service-people think?

Was looking at the dates some of you guys served. And some of you are old ! Makes me feel young. (27)

Never been in the military but I attempted to enlist. Scored a 60 on the ASVAP.

I know it my sound weird, but I feel as though that I have special training. My training came from the streets. Weapons training. Tactical situations. ANd a lot of of other things that I can not discuss on an open forum.

That being said, yes I feel as though my training and expertise has helped my business sense. I am more aware, more determined.

I can read people very well, which helps me from being scammed. I just feel as though I am a little sharper than an average joe who lived a regular life.

    Watch it, youngster. :-D

The way I see it, is some of us oldies are just x years sneakier. :)

At least you made the attempt, and that's something.

Street smart is good, and yep, it gives you an edge. A lot of today's kids just don't have (and maybe never will) get it, sadly. Good on you for at least trying! Live long and prosper, mate.
