I used the Cryptomus crypto payment gateway via their official Shopify addon, and now I have already lost more than $300 due to their system being hacked and abused. Users are placing orders worth hundreds of dollars, yet somehow, after paying only a fraction of that amount, Cryptomus is still approving their orders.

Cryptomus’ support performance is among the worst I have ever experienced. After reporting to them that their system is compromised, they are asking me to send them data that they never shared with me in the first place. Their Shopify plugin does not show me the transaction IDs linked to the orders, yet they keep requesting more and more screenshots, expecting me to explain exactly how hackers are exploiting their system. They even asked me to track bugs in the developer console panel, as if I am their developer and should spend my own time debugging their system.

The Cryptomus manager who originally convinced me to join their platform is now simply ignoring me.

Today I want to share with you my experience with cryptomus crypto payment gateway.
Approximately a year ago "Arturas Norkus" (Telegram name) contacted me and convinced me to change from payid19 to cryptomus payment gateway.

Since joining I have processed close to six figures through cryptomus. It was good for a while but recently it got compromised and it turned into a nightmare.

Here is the most recent example of what is going on. This 40$ order was approved after 14$ was paid.

Earlier I have a 500$ order being approved after 5$ was paid.

Cryptomus support was slow, completely useless and flooding me with ridiculous requests such as providing them data that they never share on their shopify addon and such as asking the hacker to explain them how exactly the exploit works.

I referred approx 30-40 users to cryptomus and yet I am experiencing such a disrespectful treatment from them.

Here, this will make you laugh. Here my personal cryptomus manager is asking me to explain them practically how exactly the hackers exploit their system

I could have provided much more information here. But I have already spent 20 minutes of my time compiling this post. My goal here is to let everyone know how cryptomus treat their long term active users. Now its up to you to decide whether this type of service suits your needs.

If you are reading this please consider bumping this thread for the google algo to pick it up and eventually saving someone's time with this cryptomus payment gateway review.

I think @Venusaur is using them as well. Have you seen any of these things?

That's not the first thread about them here on BHW. But most of the time they're mentioned is positively.

This is happening with the their shopify addon

Their answer gives strong...

Saar, why did you redeem this?

vibes.

Did you try to use a self hosted crypto checkout instead of a 3rd party?

I was thinking to use this payment gateway thanks for saving me

Sorry, just saw it today

Yep, I'm using it, but never had such a problem like OP, sorry for him

I was planning to implement NowPayments and was able to change the value too xD lol
Thats why I am just getting payments manualy. I don't trust these processors, I am giving client the adress and if they want, they can pay

I am giving client the adress and if they want, they can pay
That's indeed the best approach
Or just send a Binance Pay link if they like to pay with Binance
No need for troublesome intermediaries

Your experience highlights significant issues with Cryptomus' system and support. Consider switching to a more reliable payment gateway and report any losses to protect your business from further risks.

Wow, wow.

Lets go 1 by 1.

If you can find out how this works with their collaboration, you wont need a shop anymore.

But on a more serious note, I would not blame them, but consider everyone might be suspect, the browser, shopify and the PSP. This is relatively easy to trace, ask every party for the TX req/res objects.

Probably it is the PSP, but itll be incompetence rather than malice, but ask them for the above and just dump it here, this is an interesting TS case indeed.

Nowpayments.io are kinda okay if you value privacy, mixing private wallets with business revenue and a very lax and creative AML and due diligence interpretation.

I have been working with them directly before, its okay folks, but I have seen some little disasters happen, keep in mind, half the time the merchant is to blame equally, often businesses who dont even know proper FIAT procedures chalk up some crypto SOPs, where people dont even know how to locate stuck deposits or create some JIRA ticket with the proper data, it happens often, but nowpayments has had some funny stuff happen, without saying names, I have seen PSPs:

- Funneling funds to the wrong merchant, irresevrsible
- Double approved payouts
- Carts charged more than once, months after the last legit purchase

These things happen when theres an aggregator API somewhere along the line, as nobody bothers for direct integrations anymore, everything must be plug and play and live yesterday. Or some half arsed plug in in an already shitty ecosysten(Shopify, oh brother, I have worked at Amazon, if anyone ever did, they would know Shopify is an utter joke) , unmaintained WP "Plugins" , browser extensions...Theres a reason why banks treat that stuff as if its radioactive.

Also happens after API or database updates.

Theres no good or best provider, for example, if people knew who owns Coinspaid , who owns these new Streaming platforms etc, they would be more diligent in their approach.

Often these PSPs are done by people who couldnt make it in a bank or were bored in a bank and looked for more freedom and fleyibility or/and wanted to make the world a better place, path to hell and intentions, as the saying goes.

The services are good until they are not, and people are always looking for "whats new", I am not sure new is an attribute high up in the requirements when it comes to PSPs.

Final word, shit happens everywhere, the question is, how will the business resolve, if at all.

If you have the options, probably one of the better options is btcpayserver.org. It requires additional resources, but in that case, you have your own self-hosted payment system

Wow. And I'm thinking about using them as a payment gateway
