    Hi
I wanted to know how to add cron jos for wp-o-matic

also if we dont add cron jobs does it make any difference??? as it already asks after how much time you want to publish the article...

    */20 * * * * /usr/bin/curl

it starts like this....ie when i setup wp-o-matic... so i just copy paste like this only???

    Hi anuj291,

Cron jobs can be setup through your Cpanel.

So goto your Cpanel, click on Cron jobs and then click "Advanced (Unix Style)"

Put in */20 in the minutes box and then one * in the other 4 boxes.

Then put in the command for the cronjob and it's good to go.

    Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what wp-o-matic is or what it does. But i'm sure if they ask you to setup cron jobs...you'll need to do it.

What is the command to execute the crop.php file?
    I'm using: http://mydomain.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cron.php

If I view the file "cron.php" directly I get this error...
Warning! cron.php was called with the wrong password or without one!

So far wp-o-matic won't pick up anything, even tho I set it to fetch every 6 hours.

I'm not sure there Pimp, i would try and get up with someone that has had success setting up wp-o-matic. Maybe this bump could help with that.

If you still can't get it, if i have time i'll try and install it and see what's up

Got it! For anyone still having trouble, do this:

    1. Click "Settings" (from the WP Dashboard).

    2. Click "WP-O-Matic" (it's near the bottom).

    3. Click "Options" (it's on the WP-o-Matic screen).

    4. Copy the entire URL and the code that's displayed just below, Cron command.

    5. Paste that URL with the ending code into your Cron Job command window like this:

    wget http://domain.com/wpblog/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cron.php?code=s5c61847

(Obviously the code I posted above s5c61847 will be different from your code).

    6. Set your time slots and save. If you want to test it, just put one * in each box
and the system will begin running immediately, and will send you an email showing the results. Once it's running properly, change the time settings otherwise you'll have problems.

NOTE: If you don't want the Cron Job to email you every time it runs, add this code to the
very end of the URL: >/dev/null 2>&1

If you did everything correctly, your non-mailing Cron Job command should look like this:

    wget http://domain.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cron.php?code=s5c61847 >/dev/null 2>&1

If it still doesn't run, contact your hosting company and ask them to add you to the get-users group. This will allow you to run commands such as "lynx" and "wget".

This is especially true if you use Host Gator, since they won't add you to this group unless
    you ask them to!

You don't need to use cron jobs for wp-o-matic by the way. You can also use Wordpress built in cron function, if you choose to do so right after enabling wp-o-matic.
