I have my main site (which I try to keep whitehat) with hostgator. I am looking for a new host to host some of my more blackhat sites. my sites are not too blackhat, i just use a lot of blog comments, etc. to build links.

I have done some research and it seems that crocweb and stablehost are both ok.
do you have any experience with either one?
how fast do your sites load?
Any downtime? that is the one thing i cannot afford to have.

which one suspends your account if they receive a spam complaint from a blog owner?

any other hosts that you recommend?

I too did a little research before buying another hosting. I've narrowed it down to crocweb, stablehost and hawkhost. I signed up with crocweb few weeks back.

Since they run on the Litespeed web server, It's definitely faster than Apache. I must say Dashboard of my WP blog lags ~4 secs after adding about 200 pages of rich content. Maybe it's because their server is located in Canada. Well, that's for shared hosting. They also have xcache but it's not working well with w3tc.

well, I guess crocweb is out because i just read on some forum that they disable seo plugin....because it's poorly coded and causes server issues.

From what I know Spam complaints from blog owners wont get your account suspended.
If it does it can easily be abused. Anyone can act like a blog owner and get the competition's account suspended.
