OK, which one of you is behind this...and what tool are you using? There is a facebook fanpage that is putting up red flags all over. The mommy blogger got there g-strings in a knot, they are all trash talkin...just google crockpot girls and check out their fan page. it's growing in front of your eyes and there are a few blog posts talking about it.

You might be giving people here far to much credit, this looks like a well executed white hat social media campaign. We sometimes get bogged down in blackhat and forget that there are still perfectly valid ways to build brands online, it is not all about the tools :)

No it's definitely a bot, read the blog posts about it. People are are finding that they liked them but never even heard of them. Somehow it found an exploit in FB and is taking control of peoples facebook accounts and liking them. I have the same problem with my own facebook page, some asshole keeps friending people I've never heard of.

At first I also thought that it could just be a very successful campaign but when I read this blog post I realized that it's way too blackhat to be legit!

There are good points like why does the Facebook group has over million fans and only 250 followers on Twitter. When going through the fans you can see that many of them have no activity in Facebook except liking that Crock Pot Girls fanpage. So yeah, I suggest reading the blog post because it gives a new perspective to whole thing! :)

Whoever owns this is a genius, do you know how much money you can make by selling tupperwear to middle aged american women?

If there is one thing thing they are addicted to its daytime soaps, tupperwear and tmz.

Whoever done this, good job on making some bank :)

    Very very simple.

Step 1 get a very good EP(bl3 or bh, remember bh runs around 1500 per annual license)
Step 2 get traffic for EP, junk traffic and get around 1 million of it so with a good EP you get a higher payload %.

Step 3 , now this is the easy part since you have them as bots, just run a simple program to like, wall post, w/e on their facebook profile while the persons computer is logged in into their fb accts.

If you don't even understand what am talking about then you are totally not considering all the posibilites, this isnt a like jacking script ppl this is a b-net works.

I HIGHLY doubt that those girls orchestrated this by themselves, as there are a lot of things that just don't add up. As YFMD ^ said, it was most likely a large botnet of some kind.

Perhaps the guys got bored and made a bet.

It's incredible to think how we in the real world, can be 'had' like this. Identities can literally be created overnight, made famous and then removed. Gives me chills.

oh it definitely was not done by the girls, there are a few more blog posts you should read. They know a few affiliate marketers. They are even doing some publicity and reputation management. But they are gonna get caught eventually. Oh an the copycat skinny girls crock pot is one of them that broke off the group to start their own. Allegedly....and growing just as fast!

There is a lot of positive stuff being said about them as well and it seems that this has brought as much positive publicity as negative if not more. We women love the crock pot.

There was a crock pot girl a few years back, 365 days of crockpot or something. She ended up with a HUGE following and got a few book deals out or it.

Even though these girls may have gotten off to a dishonest start, it doesn't mean they won't be able to make a killing from this. I'm looking forward to when they've got their servers back up. I could use some new crock pot recipes myself. If their recipes suck, they won't go anywhere because a lot is expected of them now.
