This is very basic stuff for many of you but still a nice example on how to get some extra traffic. One of my sites is a small weight loss website - not getting that much traffic but still making like ~100$ a month from it. Recently I made a post on how "apples can help you lose weight".. This morning, some friendly individual had posted it in a "nature lovers' forum", saying something like "Hi, can you guys see how great apples can be for your health". - my traffic basically tripled for a some days - bringing in lots of adsense clicks. Some of them also joined the mailing list - not probably going to convert that well, but still they're leads and i bet i can sell something to them in the future
Now, why didn't I think of this myself?? Hell, right now I can think of tons of forums I'll be able to post something similar.. Just writing an entry about cycling, walking, fruits, water, whatever that can be even remotely related to your topic. E.g. Weight loss is a HUGEa nd abstract area and you can literally write about anything, just making it somehow even remotely relate to the topic. There'll always be forums that are concentrated in just that. -> post there and the traffic flows in and earnings will grow.
