I'm working with a small regional appliance manufacturer. They are wanting a Wikipedia page about their company.

How tough is Wikipedia on accepting new pages about companies/manufacturers?

And are there any guides on creating Wikipedia pages that stick?

First of all, there needs to be mention of said company on news sites or other credible sources. Additionally, it has to be informative and like an encyclopedia. Anything that is biased towards the business will get removed. I dealt with this and it's a pain in the ass.

Does it hurt if the company's URL is on auto-block from somebody adding it to dead-links in the past?
