I have a local business website and I want to try using some blackhat back links to increase my search engine ranking. For example, I have the domains FiveTimesDay, and 5TimesDay. I use FiveTimesDay as my main business website. I plan to use 5TimesDay as a lead generator by using blackhat tactics to bring it up to the first page on search engine results.

Do you know if I host both domains on separate accounts with no information to connecting the two domains, if google will be able to connect both websites, or go after my main business website?

If it triggers a manual review it could. I assume it will be linking to your real site. What exactly were you planning???

My plan is this, now please be kind though because I'm not very knowledgeable when it domes to SEO in general.

So my website is FiveTimesDay and we offer a local service where customers can schedule those services online.

What I plan to do is use my other domain, 5TimesDay, and have the website looks pretty much the same except no duplicate content or anything that could be linked with my original business site. The only thing that is the same is that when someone schedules a service online on they receive their invoice and etc. all from FiveTimesDay.

With 5TimesDay I plan to use some Fiverr backlink gigs and drip traffic to help increase the rank for that dummy site. I hope that gives a better explanation of what I'm planning to do.

It's pretty hard to know how exactly Google might connect the two, but I have def seen Goog smoke one site, and take the rest of yours (if they are in any violation) along with it. So just be cautious not to leave a trail of crumbs. That means hosting, Google accounts, links, etc. Approach it with the same attitude that you would if you were building a blog network (lots of good content around here on that).

The only thing that comes to mind is that if both your domains are rankings for the same term, and they are very obviously for the same biz, someone might complain, call it domain crowding or some such thing and you will get nailed. Likewise, Goog might be able to make the connection based on the content that they are the same biz, and only let one rank well.

Never done it personally, but my .02

Try to read this, this could help you realize how complicated your plan is.

But, still it could bring good results if done properly, but I suggest to stick on your Main site and populate it with more relevant contents to rank it using the keywords you chose.

I am doing this exact thing right now, but safer.
    Site 1:
    www.joesroofing.com
    - Full company site, going to be white hat, maybe a tiny bit of black.

    Site 2:
    www.roofingchicago.com
    - Black hat, but somewhat safe. Add some generic content articles to try and hit long tail keywords.
    - Put a very large banner in the side bar linking to joesroofing.com including phone number and saying
how great it is. So it just looks like joesroofing is advertising on this site.

While I have never done this and I agree with the previous posts I think with a twist this could be a good plan. I think the first thing to do would be to decide whether you want this to be a lead generation source or a source of backlinks. If you just want to generate leads of the site then it seems like the best thing to do would be to research some keywords that you want to rank for. For example if you have a cleaning business in Atlanta then find the keywords related to that niche and location and then build the content around them. If you're not attached to the second domain name it might also be a good idea to buy a new domain that was at least a partial match domain for your main keywords. This might give you a slight seo advantage as well as reducing the chances of your main site being penalized along with the second site because of the similarities. I would also definitely use a different theme, hosting plan, content, photos, layout, email address etc to eliminate any trail. It seems like just imho if you went the backlink route it would leave you open to at best losing any short-term link juice that would be gained from the black hat site and at worst facing a penalty for spammy links.
It also sounds like you want to rank for local business keywords and local seo is slightly different from what I've learned so someone else would need to comment on that.
Just my thoughts but I think its a good idea and you're definitely thinking in the right direction. Keep us posted on your progress and how it turns out.

I still hadn't refreshed the page and seen your post but you basically summed up what I was trying to say very neatly.
Are you treating the second site roofingchicago any different than traditional seo becauuse you are targeting local keywords?

Just starting out on the site, never really done something local like this before. But I am building links that include the city and state (province in my case), as well as have city and state on the site. Not sure if that's what you meant or not. My goal is for this to rank above the google places listings and the real business in the local business listings.
