    Hi everybody

Im kind of new to the whole internet marketing world and am currently working on setting up accounts on different social medias including twitter. I will try to create a following and monetize using affiliate links. The thing I am wondering is if it is better to create the accounts as a brand (got a pretty catchy brand name) or as a person? Thinking people might be turned off from following because they think I will just try and sell them stuff (which i will duh) if i go with a brand name. If I create a fake person they might be more cool with following and clicking my links?

Just wanted to hear your opinion on what works best. Thanks!

It depends on what you are promoting, it would be hard to promote for example dating advise books with a brand in my opinion, but with an expert (fake profile) on the subject you can have decent earnings. If I was you I would create both of them and after I have let's say 10k followers I would test the same product with the same message on both the accounts and I would see in a period of one month which account brings the most earnings.

Brand yourself as a business from the start on Twitter so you will have more flexibility with the links you promote. It will seem more natural if you are a fashion related blogger who is promoting links to your own fashion blog. Most individuals (with personal accounts) don't just promote links to one site.

Create them as a person and out your links in the description. It looks like you are a customer of the company you are promoting.
