Create custom opt-in form

Hello BH,

Good afternoon, I would like to ask a question, and I hope this section is suitable.

First of all, I am newbie, but I want to learn, and I believe I am a fast-learner!

Well, recently I tried a new plugin on wordpress called wysija (or mailpoet, same stuff), and they don't have any "design your form" on their plugin, nor they put a simple tutorial on their website. I also already tried to search for tutorial on big G, but couldn't find the tutorial I needed.

My question is, I want to try to create a custom opt-in form for my website (I want to put it on my footer and sidebar widget). Is there any tutorial I can read so I can create the custom form for myself?

I am kinda in love with this sample: (not mine, of course)



but still have no idea how to create something like that.

The image you posted in a Opt-in Form Widget created by Alex Mangini. He also publicly posted the widget. You can download and install it in wordpress. Since I'm still not able to post links, just do a google search for the following "How to Add Email Signup Forms to Your WordPress Blog (new download)" and open the first result of diythemes.
