Today, on Yahoo's home page, I noticed a news article about discovery of a miracle drug. When I clicked on it, I was directed to a crappy looking affiliate site where all posts were promoting some affiliate products. The website domain was new and did not even have a pagerank. All the content was 100% copied from other sites. Still, as it was a sponsored listing in the news feed on Yahoo's home page, it was getting high targeted traffic. I could see it from the site's low Alexa and huge social likes.

If Yahoo has lowered its publishing standards to such a level, it can be a big opportunity for affiliate sites who have the dough to pay Yahoo for sponsored ads :) Has anyone from BHW tried this trick?

Interesting find. I've found that Yahoo and Bing are pretty much susceptible to spam in that you can buy a cheap GSA package on here and get onto page 1 of Y/B for your keyword, so I would say they are dropping their standards.

Is it the same site that claims revolutionary product that cures a problem and has a trial link at bottom of post? I have seen that site in Outbrain, Taboola, Content.ad ads as well. No idea how it landed on yahoo feed though.
