CRaigslist ARRRGGGHH

Just took a look through that Craigslist Blackhat course from James Starr and it looked really good and easy to get up posts according to his methods. Unfortunately I didn't get the whole thing in time and it seems like CL just changed it up a bit according to other some other forums too I guess.

Is it still viable to get software like Ad Master etc? It seems like a big deal, I hear people using air cards which is another $60/mo or so and other tools which is more $$$...is it still worth it?

I'd even buy the course since the little taste of it was pretty exciting.

Check out this recording, the first 15 mins is B/S then its gets better.

IMO, craigslist needs to monetize the service a bit and charge maybe $20 (or whatever)for an ad to be placed in ALL the venues. That might be the path they choose since they don't have a big money machine, at least on that's visible. Sorta like Google before AdWords.

Craig newmark has consistently not been interested in getting super-rich. Keeping it free except for those three insanely productive categories that they charge for, has made him, tens of millions of dollars. They have so many ways to turn it into money, they probably wont need to make it easy to spam it.

Its a cycle everyone goes through. I did CL for 2 years then all the sudden didnt earn shit. Tried everything to prevent them blocking me

As soon as they started charging for the job category in most cities, my party was over. I literally saw a "business" (I say "business" because it was kinda scam) go from a high of $11.5k in Oct.'06 dwindle down to ~$1k in May'08 before I finally gave up on the whole thing. That avg. $10k a month biz I had on CL took me about 2-3 hours a day to sustain (I posted all ads manually so as not to leave any kind of robotic footprint). However, as soon as earnings dropped below $1k it was like having a job again :(

RIP CL biz opportunity dob 2004 death 2008
