    Hello ladies? and gentlemen,

I've been using only AdSense to make money online. I was making $100 / year using AdSense. (Woohooo NOT)

Few days ago, I decided to invest some time and try CPA or Affiliate programs that I've been seeing people talking about for a year or so.

Now, which do you think I should invest more time into? CPAs or affiliate programs? Baring in mind that I'm not a US resident, I'm from the middle east (In case that will affect money delivery)

Also, which do you think is the best CPA/Affiliate provider? I've heard that Amazon is the best for affiliates.

Please let me know what you think,

    Thanks!
    T.

Amazon is different, you can not compare it to sites like Clickbank and CommisionJunction nor to any CPA network, reason being that most of AFF networks deliver digital products and amazon delivers solid goods.

So everything has its PROs and Cons

Thanks wes_one for your reply! I'm still a complete n00b about this... So, I didn't really get what you mean.

The reason why I'm asking which one pays more, or better than the others is because I want to have some focus on it and start getting familiar with. I think that's better than trying different options; at least for this stage.

Not sure how being in the middle east will affect you, but there are tons of good cpa and affiliate programs. Maxbounty, clickbank, and ******* are some of the reputable ones off the top of my head. Keep in mind for many good programs you have to talk to someone on the phone.

I've downloaded few books from the downloads section. I think I have a lot of confusion between CPA and Affiliates. So... is there any specific books names for beginners? Recommendations??

    Thanks

amazon is pretty good but affiliates like commissiona junction still pays more. You need to know your visitors. Where they will go to buy stuff. I have three times more sites with amazon when compared to cj but my cj sites makes 3 times more money than all of my amazon sites.

Great, however, I still need an eBook for beginners. You know, to get familiar with the expressions used in this field. e.g. (Lead, Sale, EPC... etc). I still have no idea what these things mean, and how my commission is calculated and which traffic sources are allowed? Can I display the links on the ads on an "almost-empty" page??

    Recommendations?

i prefer affiliates as cpa networks can be abit tricky and have more rules, shaving and scrubbing going. however cpa networks can turn out to be profitable too

    More questions...

    1. How do I know which offers will pay me more?
    2. Am I allowed to have offers and adsense on my website?
    3. Can I display more than one offer on the same page?
    4. Is there a limit of links per page?
    5. Does the source matter?
    6. From what I've read so far, CPA seems too easy, I can extract the link from the code an spam twitter with that link?!
    7. Are CPAs and affiliate Networks as bitchy as AdSense when it comes to disabling accounts?
    8. Again, can anyone recommend a book for me to help me get started?

    Thanks in advance

It really depends what do you want to promote. Find an offer on OfferVault or AffiliatePaying. Then contact the network that has it with your intention to promote that particular offer. This will greatly help to get approved. It's not where you want to go at this stage, it's where you can get in. In a perfect world try to get EWA, Blam Ads or *******, all very hard to enter if you don't have someone to vouch for you. Not sure if there's anyone here but on Warrior forum you can snoop some AM from these and try to talk to them. You are actually looking for a network with good training program. Wolf Storm Media has a solid one. Peerfly accepts relatively new but traceable people.

Didn't read the thread but your problem sounds like it is traffic and not monetization.

If you only made 100/ per year with adsense that smells like bad traffic and you should work on getting more visitors first, not changing how you monetize the traffic. Because there just isn't enough yet and changing to CPA or Affiliate is going to yield the same results.

    So get more traffic.
