Hey I live in Canada, (check the avatar lol) and when I sign up to CPA networks they want my SS#, but I only have a SIN#(equivalent to SS), so is that what I give them?

2nd question, how do I make sure I'm not taxed by US gov? I mean is there a form I have to apply for or whats the deal?

Anyone who knows the answer to this it would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I need to get up and running with a lot of places and I don't think there are that many canadian networks. If someone could just point me in the right direction to get the info maybe?

Yeah its complicated, but you need a legit business and everything like that.
Which I don't have :) Thanks anyway though.

I'll just sign up with MaxB and ask an AM

Just cause your a canadian doesn't mean you can't signup under an american network. I'm Canadian and been with many american networks. You don't provide your SS#, you just tell them / fill out the forms they provide that say you are not a US citizen. (I'm no accountant, but I assume the reason you don't get taxed by the US government is due to the free trade agreement. But I never looked into this, but I know it's legit & works this way)

just do it and declare the earnings to your tax authority

you do have a tax number - unless you are under 18 - give them that

Yeah canadian's have SIN#'s which is a SS# and I have been taxed before and had to file them and everything becoause I use to work at sport chek.

I just don't want to get taxed by the US gov and Canadian gov, or somehow not get taxed at all and get in shit.

I think they have a special form to fill out for people living outside the US, i filled up a different W8 form for international users, so I'm sure theres one for Canada.

Yeah i filled that out for a couple of CPA companys i signed up for, not all of them have it though. I just want to make ABSOLUTELY sure that I only get taxed by the canadian government, I don't want to have to deal with a legal headache.

send them a w8-ben tax form, i talked with my accountant, and he said by filling out that form, they dont hold 30% in U.S. and you'll just have to report it to CRA... good luck
