I'm relatively new the CPA but I want to know if I'm getting ripped off, and by who.

I kicked of an incent site about 2 weeks ago. Its in a great niche, its pulling decent traffic and its converting.

The main problem is I'm getting ALOT of users complaining that they're completing the offers and not receiving anything. I check the backend and sure enough no completion has been registered.

Some of the offers are: VLC Media player download, Ares download, Open Office download. These are the worst but their are plenty more.

I'd like to know from some experienced CPA users, where are these conversion going missing? Is it dodgy advertisers/offers? or is the network shaving the number of conversions?

I was under the impression shaving was the network taking a cut, but the sheer number of complaints I'm receiving has me thinking their shaving the conversions as well.

I've been using: Yeahincent (pretty terrible), CPAway (better)

I've just signed up with dandingo, who say they don't shave, time will tell.

Advertisers shaves due to bad leads, otherwise they would be extremely satisfied with you and your network.

always join reputable networks... never join 1 person companies that use hasoffer

Once a toolbar or whatever install on a computer... that pc is finished for the advertiser... They dont pay for their other software to be install on the same pc

if you feel you are getting shaved , join another network and run the same offer , and compare both of them... if the result wasnt good, then the advertiser itself has tracking issue or they are shaving you

Join another network, or even better, set up your own content locker and split test different offers until you have a winning combination

depends on the quality and the conversion of your leads. Yes, they are shaving all the time.

Advertiser's have auto fraud filters on their tracking platforms. So what you perceive as "shaving" is simply an automatic fraud filter on their end.

If you want to know more about "shaving" do some research on the different tracking platforms out there: directtrack, hasoffers, cake, linktrust, etc...

Sounds like the advertiser must have got some sort of legal notice from the creators of the software. After all the ones you have listed is freeware and you are monetizing it :)

Always split your traffic to few networks
