I'm with a certain CPA company. I do 2k a week. My AM now emails me how I promote my credit offers.

I told him I am in the credit repair business which I am and I have a huge email list. He emails me back and want more details such as:

How did I build email list, sample emails, which business I'm in which I already told him..

How should I handle this without giving away my cash business....I'm not trying to get my business stole from me again.

Everytime a person makes money with a network they always trying to steal it....

As long as you're sending legit traffic to those offers and they're converting at a respectable rate, don't worry about his/her emails.

On the other hand, you could just simpy reply back and just be dump about it and ask something like:

"Are you interested in my traffic because it's not converting? If so, please feel free to provide some current stats regarding my traffic and then I'll take the necessary steps to ensure I send more qualified traffic to the offers I'm promoting!"

    Wait for a their reply....

If the reply is a positive one and your numbers/conversions are 'satisfactory', then don't worry about it and move on and find some other products w/other CPA's to make money off of...then when you find a good one, drop the CPA you're working w/now!

Quite honestly, if I'm a CPA and the traffic 'converts', I could care less how a particular affiliate is sending traffic...as long as it's white-hat 'legit' traffic and the numbers are there...so be it!

But, this is just my OPINION...and yours will vary based on mileage!

Sorry if this question is out of context, but I'm on CPAL*** now. Before this, each leads that I got converts $1.30 per lead, but now it's just 0.15 cent per lead.

Is it because of the country they came from or what else?

Just keep doing what you are doing, answer the question but don't give away anything that will let them steal it. Keep giving vague answers but remain professional and respectful.

Or you could even say something like "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were trying to steal my business! Ahaha JK"

But you really are not JK.

I guess that stage is where the Manager wants to rip your method. Just be "naive" and give him the link to "Marketing Sherpa" and tell him you're a long-time member there and you've been learning the marketing, esp email techniques solely from there. Also tell him that there is a free trial available if he is interested.

Something "naive" like this every time will put them off, hopefully.

Well he is stating the credit offer asked about it. So he just needs to know to tell them.

I'm like well he'll tell them whatever I already told you it's email marketing why would they want to know more details .

It's my second week sending traffic and I'm due for payment this week

Send them a confidentiality, a non disclosure and non compete agreements and
tell them you will be happy to answer their questions once they have signed those
agreements in the presence of a lawyer and returned them to you.

They'd be totally butt fucked if they stole your methods after that.
And there is a good chance they will back down due to the costs involved for them.
You should to do it in a matter of fact way as if it is a normal course of your business
not in a way that would appear to them you are being secretive and diversionary.

i also like what oxonbeef wrote above

    or

strike back/bluff and ask if there's something wrong with your traffic

if they say there isn't any problem, then just tell them that you won't reveal the method/source of your traffic because of well known reasons and if they still insist to do so, just tell them, you can stop the traffic right away you're sending towards their offers and let them know: there are other CPA networks as well where you can drive your traffic

Thx everybody for advice.. I replied with mixture of what everybody said above.

AM is claiming the advertiser wants to know (Yea Ok)

Think the AM is just seeing how far I will go with giving him secrets. Worth a try i guess to him.

I never heard of a advertiser who was interested in another person business such as sample emails, how list is built bla bla

But I'm taking my traffic somewhere else.. Dont trust them and if they stiff me I'm suing

If the advertiser is getting good quality leads then they wouldn't be asking that question more than likely. This means that the aff man is trying to do a rip. U can always go direct to the advertiser if your making that much anyways. They are prohibited from contacting you personally but that doesn't mean you can't contact them :) Otherwise use Oxy's suggestion and add a boooyaahh at the end of your phone convo with aff rip manager .lol

Either way start looknig at gonig to another NW now. I am fine with them asking but when it gets like to the stage where they want screen shots/pw's and keywords etc....F** OFF!

    HAHAH

Yep he was trying to steal it. He respond but I wont post full info here but basically he included in email " AS A AFFILIATE MYSELF I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS"

Also said "he only needs detailed information when advertiser is giving them a hard time and for they can show and use leverage that their affiliates send quality legitimate traffic which I am."

I'm sending complete legit traffic and he even said it

Told me to have a nice day and everything is OK

But yea he was fishing for information what gave it away was when he said :
"AS A AFFILIATE MYSELF I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS"

Uh HUh trying to steal my bizness i say What do you all think

and thnx everyone and special thx to OX I think that did it

You almost got ganked, lol. I feel you dude, my AM for one of the larger networks keeps buggin' me about the traffic an the methods. She tried to box me in like that too. Like you, I got it in writing that the advertiser was happy, so who the hell cares, lol. That's a typical strong arm move from AMs who are are also affiliates. Hell, brokers on Wallstreet all o the same when they find something hot. It got to the point I told her there were hundreds of other networks out there and if there was any issues, I will take my business elsewhere. I even requested another AM, and got one the following week.
Good to see you fought back, it is your money after all and nobody really cares about your money more than you.
    Good Show :D
