New to cpa side of things...

I have a product i want to sell, but my audience doesn't have a ton of cash. I wouldn't mind giving the product to them for free if they would fill out a cpa offer that's interesting to them and roughly the equivalent of my product's retail price. My crowd would go nuts for this, i'm sure i could get a lot of cpa signups.

    Thoughts? opinions?

That is what is known as an incentive. They(networks) have offers which are incentive offers that you can use for this.

then the task is given: find a cpa network with incentive offers, this is not blackhat at all till this point, what may considers blackhat is your source of traffic (i mean if your traffic is from youtube, facebook etc., in this case you don't want your cpa network knows where it comes from because they may ban your account), so you have to fake, blank the referer

Honeybird, Why would they care if it was from facebook?

Also, is it considered ok to string together several low paying surveys, for instance, so i can get to my desired price equivalent to the product i'll be giving away? Or another option, is that i use oscommerce, and i could make each incentive offer / survey the ability to give my users a certain amount of credit in my online store. When they fill out enough surveys, they could get my product for free.

i guess when you applied for a network, you didn't give them a facebook profile as your website, did you? lol
seriously they won't like it, either fake or blank the referer, if you use facebook traffic ;) just read your network's TOS and you can figure it out by yourself, if you can't figure it out by this time reading bhw

Your idea is okay, just be sure that the advertiser allows points sites. Some only allow mild incentive (whatever that means) and some allow everything.

Also, your traffic will come from YOUR site. You may generate traffic from gaybook and gaytube, but that doesn't matter, because the people are visiting YOUR site because what YOU have to offer. Not because of the CPA offer itself.

Things are really gray here, so if you want to stay in the clear, be sure to talk to your aff manager and straighten things up with him.

OK thanks guys, yeah i'm being totally upfront with my intentions when i am signing up to these sites. Wish me luck. cp@le@d did instant approval and does have the multiple surveys option for rewards points in their widgets, but im waiting to hear back from adsend, maxbounty, and pofecker's network before i start running campaigns.

Try TrialPay if you want a WH way. People report good results when they use it with software with a "free if you sign up for..." deal.

Wasn't worth a darn trying to sell physical merchandise that way, but if you've got a download to offer, apparently you can see some decent results.
