So, I'm sitting here watching Mizzou beat up on Illinois in the Arch Rivalry game (pulling for Mizzou) and thot about this. I would appreciate any and all suggestions and/or comments. First off, I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS. It's just the germ of an idea.

It came about because we own a timeshare and are getting tired of paying the maintenance costs each year. I know in these difficult economic conditions that a number of people feel the same way.

My first thot is to drive traffic to my website and have it set up for CPA. I would advertise that the 2001st person or whatever number you might choose, to register for the timeshare would be given it free. And in the Terms and Conditions would state that the winner would be responsible for the Title transfer (which normally runs about $300).

If that were to go well, there a number of sites where you can buy timeshares for less than $400. So, depending on how much you feel you could get per sale then maybe it would be worth it to buy one and do the same thing again. At $1.50 per lead you could maybe make $3,000 or more per timeshare. Haven't thot this thru yet, but possibly you could negotiate with the original seller and arrange to pay him on a contignent basis. You would only pay the seller once you have all your total visitors click and register for your CPA lead.

One downfall I see is that if you were to buy a timeshare outright and it doesn't do what you want as in make the total amount you want and you are stuck with it, you then would be responsible for the yearly maintenance. Which is how this started to begin with.

So, that's the initial thot process. I'm sure there are other ideas that you can think of or things to look at.

I know this isn't a detailed plan like so many are but is just an idea to maybe try.

Again, comments and suggestions are appreciated. Let me know what you think...worth trying or not?

    Regards,

Unfortunetely my knowledge of timeshares is extremely limited, but based on the way you spelled it out, it seems like a great idea. With the figures you provided, it seems to me it could be really lucrative if there's a market for it. Hopefully someone can chime in that knows the timeshare world a bit better and can lend you more advice on it.

    Best of luck iron,

I'll keep an eye on the progress of this thread!

    Cheers
