CPA - Getting Started (Resources and Guides)

I'm a huge believer in absorbing and understanding as much as possible about something prior to asking Noob questions. With so many guides available to learn where would some of you pro's recommend I start reading. Any guides free or paid?

As of now I'm just currently taking a udemy course.
