    Couple of questions:

    1.

I bought a few domains for a PBN. I was checking them again after I'd bought them and realised one of them had a high moz spam rating (still has good DA / PA / TF / CT. Think the spam rating is like 8/17.

So what should I do with this? Should I throw it in the newtork anyway for 'diversity' or maybe I could use it as a lower tier and point to some web 2.0s and then point them to top tier? Or just drop the whole domain? Could it have a negative effect?

    2.

On my main site I am targetting a lot of 'easy' longtails. Am I better pointing my pbn backlinks at the easier keywords or the harder ones? My idea is that if I target the tougher keywords that really need the PA, the increased DA should still have a good effect on the easier keywords? Or should I do it the other way around?

    Thanks!

1/ You should check the history of the website on archive.org and, the backlinks profile to see if anything is shady.

2/ On site SEO is way more important than backlinking for long tail. Just point backlinks to your page and if the on page seo is on point, it will rank.

Thanks man. The domain looked like it was a legitimate domain two years ago but then the last year it had it as a PBN - nothing bad on it, just some pretty random links to hair loss sites. You think that's reason enough to ditch it?

You can still use them, moz metrics and analysis should just be used as a guide, they dont speak for Google.

For long tail keyword, on-page seo is more important

If this domain is not spammed/abuse in archive and anchor text with natural link profile then your domains is fine.

Yeah I definitely know what makes a good domain, I just wasn't sure what harm a 'not so good' domain could do. The backlinks don't look too bad so I've kept it. Thanks for the replies.
