Could websites be invested in stocks?

    Just curious. And really could websites be invested and if a website went big in short time could we earn from it? Is investing stocks different from normal stock exchange?

    Well you could form a corporation and the corporation owns the website,Then sell shares to investors. Then issue dividends based on the Profit of the website and the number of shares.

    ok it's like if a website is making some money like around 1million a year. Then opens a small business such as renting an office space etc. Then we could invest right? Similar to Facebook and Google?
