Hey guys. I was wondering, lets say I made a cooking recipe website targeted at women. I would post PART of a recipe while blurring out the rest, and making them click "View More". They would be required to fill out a quick survey to see the rest of the recipe. I could target my audience from facebook & have an attractive video of the food. Any ideas of what I should do next?

Currently, I am running game hack niche sites and making $100-200 a week doing this, but it feels immoral. I want to try other things as well.
Any feedback appreciated.

Yes, it does work just let them know that need to do the survey to get into the recipes.

Most of the people would just try to find another site. But if your recipes are exclusive (maybe try using big chefs names to make it look exclusive?) then yes. But if it is like "Pancake recipe" then I doubt anyone will fill out a survey for it.

Try it though, I might be completely wrong.

Yep, would definitely work, and since you have experience doing it already with game hack niche, should know how to execute it nicely.
I'm pretty sure they would fill out a quick survey to get a recipe to something that's worth their time, like some fancy recipe
Good luck with it

Are you sure? There is a LOT of recipe and cooking sites. If I go to a recipe site and that I must fill out a survey to get a recipe, I will go to an other site where I know I can find the recipe.

An idea, like that: you could try to make a site in two parts: one part with normal, generic recipe ("pancake recipe", as it was said), and another part with exclusive recipes ("the fucking great norvegian pancake from the chief Ramsey!", for example) where you have to fill out a quick survey.

Actually you could monetize your artcile right there. There are services like Laterpay (sorry can't post urls, first hit in google) that will ask readers to drop a couple of dimes to see the rest of the recipe.

If you got good pictures and some good copy writing, housewifes might pay a dime or two to see the full recipe. Might even work better, if those are exclusive weightloss recipes or so.

As for the survey...I don't see the point? Do a mailing list or monetize it right on spot.

Competition in the cooking "Niche" is extremly big like others pointed out. Need some super exclusive content or a very good marketing strategy (contrary to what you might believe, most people don't google a lot..they only check out the ever same 2-5 websits).

Thanks for the ideas. Waiting for my first payment so I can reinvest into something like this.
