I started started some blogs about a month ago, my first one started making money about a week ago. Its only 50 cent a day, and slowly growing. That 50 cents a day has got me motivated, so I have been purchasing more domain. I purchased one today that is mac related, the the global monthly searches is a little over 11 million for that keyword that matched my domain exactly. Also almost no competition. My question is could this be a goldmine, if so what is the best way to monetize from it (adsense, flippa, cpa, amazon)? I would love feedback and ideas, nothing to detailed im not trying to steal or bum ideas

If the CPC is decent and there are adsense advertisers, give that a go. Also you could build an email list and send them CPA offers weekly or whatever. Really you could do anything you want.......!

Also if its mac related, there are all of those free ipad and iphone etc surveys, maybe consider that

Monetizing it depends on two things. Why are your visitors there (is it for a review, is it for information or updates, is it freebies, do they actually want to buy it, etc.) and what you prefer yourself. The first one is more important than the second, but some people simply do not prefer CPA eventhough that might be the best way to monetize. If you want I can help you find out what's best for you to monetize. (Don't worry, last thing I will do on this earth is stealing someone else his keywords. Happened to me few times, knows how it feels and it's not a good feeling.). If you trust me, send a PM and I can see if I can help you (don't need anything in return).

11 million searches and no competition sounds like a gold mine.

Also make sure their is no trademark word in your domain. Apple is ruthless when it comes to their name

    11M searches and an EMD?
If that's true, total gold mine.

Didn't see that you had posted Macbook until now. Good luck.

not really...apple is a known intellectual property troll. If its getting 11million searches per month, its only a matter of time, IMO.

perhaps try to rank the site, bank hard for a while, flip the site and move on before the shit hits the fan. (I wouldn't do that though, too much business risk)

It could NOT be a goldmine, maybe because the conversion rate for that keyword is not good, that's why people don't target that keyword. But I don't know for sure, why don't you try it, see how it goes.

Are you doing Broad or [Exact] search in the Keyword Tool? You must do [Exact] because if you do Broad and, for example, your keyword is "apple," if it has, say, 15,000,000 Broad searches, the Broad searches include all of these:

    apple
    apple computer
    apple laptop
    apple macbook
    apple ipod
    apple ipad
    apple iphone
    buy apple
    discount apple
    i want an apple
an apple a day keeps the doctor away

All of those contribute to the 15 million searches. And I bet there will be exactly no competition showing in the Keyword Tool. Why? Because Apple dominates the keyword, of course. You will have almost no hope of ranking for "apple," because almost the entire first page is taken by Apple, and there are over 1 billion search results, quoted and non-quoted. That's why there is apparently "no competition."

So the morale of the story is to use [Exact] search if you aren't already. =]

    Home Page:
Make sure you check your search with exact match, or google may be giving you the results for something related but not the same as the keyword you are thinking of

Make sure you choose "exact match" next time
