    Hi,

I wanna use Brad's cpa redirector with an html site, but i dont understand how...
What is the magic number and how to use it?

Let's assume I want to let my cpa Account Manager think traffic is coming from my legit site, where do i have to put the index.php file on my server?

Sorry for my noob questions but I spent all night long trying to understand how this stuff works...

    Thanks a lot

Did you checked out his blog post about it?
You should, you will understand it.

After you put up the CPA redirector on your website,
you use the magic number after your site to redirect traffic.

    www.your-site.com/?mn=231

231 would be the magic number, you have to choose it and put it in your .php script, aswell as the CPA offer.

It's easier to just use the Wordpress Plugin with a simple theme.

Thank you albaniax for your help.
Yes I read his blog but he only explain things for the WP plugin, not the standalone version for html websites.

So it's ok for magic number i will choose one.
For $cpa_offer_url I can put here my legit site url right?

Here is the end of the file:

What is the purpose of this, do I have to design my fake landing page here?

Let's assume my traffic comes from facebook ads, when the visitor click on the fb ad he will arrive on the fake landing page, and then when he will fill the cpa offer the script will automatically let my account manager think that the visitor comes from my legit site?

    Theres a standalone version

    Code:
    ///Settings

$magic_number = 1234; // Any number you choose except ZERO!

    $cpa_offer_url = ?http://my-i-p.com/?;

    $red_method = 0; // 0 = JS Form, 1 = JS, 2 = Meta Refresh

    $form_method = 0; // 0 = POST, 1 = GET

Magic number: Any number you choose except ZERO. So, it could be 1,2,4
    or 12,13 or whatever.
CPA offer URL: The URL of the CPA offer where you want visitors redirected too.

Redirection method: As with the previous CPA Redirector, you have 3
    ways to redirect visitors.
    Form method: POST or Get.

Upload the script to any site. To test it, call the script with the magic
    number. So, for example, http://somesite.com/mylandingpage.php?mn=1234
will redirect all visitors to your chosen offer.

    for Plugin

    Code:
-make sure you set your permalinks to: /%postname%/
Upload CPA-2 plugin to blog. (THERES CPA-4 Now)
    -Activate

-Go to Settings and open CPA-2
-Set magic numbers (ex 12345,must be more than 4 digits)
-Add affiliate url(s)- and save settings

To see it in action you need to use the full url, including the magic number like this: ?mn=12345 , for example:

hxxp://www.your-blog.com/blog-post-name/?mn=12345 ( of course, replace " hxxp" with "http" )

it should redirect to your CPA offer (affiliate url you added in CPA-2 panel )
Your CPA network will see this as referral:
hxxp://www.your-blog.com/blog-post-name/ So if someone just goes to your regular post ,
    in above example: hxxp://www.your-blog.com/blog-post-name/
it wont do any redirecting since the magic number ?mn=12345 is not there at the end of the url.

    Facebook > Blog > Offer

FB traffic is sent to a Blog which automatically redirects it to Your Offer page.
So, if networks check the referrer, they will see the URL of the blog #1 and not the real source of the traffic (facebook)

    Example:
Post your URL with the magic number you have chosen.
    example, myblog.com/dating/?mn=12312312

All traffic sent to myblog.com/dating/?mn=12312312 will be automatically redirected to the proper CPA/Affiliate offer.
If the network checks the referrer URL they will see: myblog.com/dating/

Thanks thevil i think i am beginning to understand now :)

So this index.php file, i put it in place of my index.html file on my blog?

Or do I have to create a new blog (with a new domain name) and put the index.php on it to redirect to the cpa offer?

You said you are using this on a html-site.
You had it right in one of your posts.

Don't forget to upload any images to the same path as in your original.

    You should check the referer.
Use this site to see what it shows.
    Code:

Thanks for your kind help blackhit.

Ok I think i've understood the process now, let me summarize and tell me if something's wrong :

    1) let's imagine I have a legit_website accepted by a cpa company
    2) then i buy a domain name to create a landing_page to use with facebook
    3) On this landing page i put the CPA redirector script (index.php file), i choose a magic number, i put $cpa_offer_url='legit_website_url', and then i put some attractive content in the <body> tags.
    4) on facebook i link my ad to the landing_page with a link like landing_page/?mn=1234

and.... thanks to this when a visitor will fill in the cpa offer my account manager will think he comes from my legit_website.

Hope i am right, sometimes i feel like my brain has some trouble to understand the hole thing :)

Yeah I have a problem with it to. I cannot get my links to work. When I open the plugin it has a place to put the magic number. So I put in the magic number in the right spot where it tells me to. Then on the right side it has a place for me to put in my affiliate link. I put my affiliate link beside the post link. After that I hit save changes, and the page refreshes but nothing happens. What should I do? Is there something im missing?

No gladiator that's not how it works.
The CPR script is on your legit site.

Let's say your domain is: greatwhitehatsite.com

Every link to this site with the magic number will be "pushed through" your legit site to the CPA offer.
    greatwhitehatsite.com?mn=12345 -> CPA offer

When you AM checks the stats he will see greatwhitehatsite.com as the referrer because the ?=12345 is dropped.

Everyone visiting greatwhitehatsite.com without the magic number will see the content on greatwhitehatsite.com and will NOT be redirected.
greatwhitehatsite.com is what your AM sees in his stats so this is the URL he will use to check.

I have an extra layer of protection that needs an extra domain. Let me know if I should write that down.

Not exactly sure what you're doing but here's a way to check if it's working.

Instead of the link to the offer put this in the box next to your post-title:
    Code:
    http://www.whatsmyip.org/more/
Now put this in the address bar of your browser.
    yourdomain.com?mn=your magicnumber

If it works you will land at:
    Code:
    http://www.whatsmyip.org/more/

yeahhhhhh now i've fully understood thanks to you i am so happy !!

when i put my legit_site uri i see my legit site, and when i add ?mn=magicnumber it automatically redirects to Whatsmyip :) :) :) :) :) cool !!

Now the only thing i am wondering is that the referer displayed by Whatsmyip is "Direct visit", i thought it would have been something like my legit_site url instead?

    @gladiator

Probably shows direct visit because you entered the URL in the address bar.

If you have another site/blog or some Web2.0 (squidoo, hubpages, article, etc.) you can test this to make a link with the magic number in a post or page and click it from there.
