In philippines you can live here cheaply.
$5 food for 1 day.
$50-$100 monthly rent..
For a decent one $500 for a month
I'm from Madagascar (the giant island next to Africa) and I live with $ 400 per month here.
So like 13,5 $ per day.
With that, I'm married with one baby, a cat and a maid.
And we go out often.
I spend around 2000 per month on everything and I don't even pay for rent.
Rent: $250/month in city center. (that's usually a bit more but I got a deal through a friend )
Food: I would say about $150-$200/month.
Bills: Electricity is around $30. Internet is $15. Unlimited phone plan is $10. Water is free in my apartment.
Gas: It's about $1,24/l
Health insurance: I pay around $180/month at the moment.
Misc: Beer is $2,00 if you drink out at the bars. It's about $0.70-$0.80 at stores. Eating out you'll probably pay $5-$6++/meal depending where you eat.
The rent and food is split in half since me and my girlfriend live together so I end up spending $430/month on the bills, rent, and insurance.
The rest depends how often me and my girlfriend go out during the month but that's usually $50-$100 extra. Btw, I live in Poland.
In USD curruncey $120/mo rent, food, internet all-inclusive
Living in Canada in major cities is expensive.... Its about 4k a month for just essentials. Over half is the house and then the crazy utilities, cellphone bills, internet etc. Game plan is to get an online income/rentals and move the f*** out of here to somewhere warmer and less expensive.
In Poland you can survive for 500$/month, you can live for $1000/month and you can live like a king for 2000-3000$ per month. Polish people earn like in Russia but we have prices like in Germany or France
why not move?
Family. Not young and single like many on here, so picking up and moving is not as easy with 4 kids. My stepchildren have a relationship with their father and my children have a relationship with their mother. Relocation at this point in life is not an option.
wow, I'm over $300 per day in Florida figuring in mortgage payments etc
If you're earning enough to pay $9k a month in bills, then that's good.
How much without the mortgage aspect?
Just so we're COMPARING APPLES TO APPLES, don't just put how many US dollars it costs to live per month in your part of the world, also include HOW MANY HOURS OF LOCAL WORK it will take to buy a BIG MAC sandwich in your country
Raw $$$ figures don't really mean much if we don't factor in LOCAL LABOR PRICING and PURCHASING POWER
Lots of Californians have moved on to Texas, Oregon, Colorado, NV, and, recently, IDAHO.
The mortgage is close to half. But if I would rent instead it wouldn't be such a big difference. For an average rental apartment big enough for a family of 5, I'd for sure be spending $2500/month in my area
own house, but spending about $20 - $30 day. Sometime $50 - $100
I live in Venezuela and minimum wage here is less than $10 A MONTH!
Regarding living expenses, you can have a pretty good living here with $500 (And i could be even less than this) a month to cover for EVERYTHING!
Sounds like you're in Toronto or Vancouver. IT IS EXPENSIVE!
Yep. Toronto for me.
The pricing for real estate in the city is simply ridiculous, and I've actually been looking into moving somewhere a bit more affordable.
man....we are all duracell batteries in this matrix world eh?
who said living was free?
Separate names with a comma.
