    I don't buy the cheapest stuff,
    Butter = $4/lb
    Cheese + $6-10/lb (unless it's specifically for wine, then a little bit more)

    Between $3 and $4 for butter (1 cup per stick, 4 sticks per box).
    Cheese varies depending on what type you want. Shredded parm is about $3 for a ~18oz bag, sliced mozz. is about $4 for 30 slices, blended colby and jack is about $8. Would really need to know what type of cheese you're talking about.

    There is a LOT of types of cheese, at least here in Scandinavia. I'm not into the types but we usually pay around $10-$14/kg. I like the cheap ones more than the expensive ones, not because of the price but just a preference.

    My guess is that they are going to move soon and really like dairy. Enough that they are going to base their destination solely on the price of dairy. I'm kind of a conspiracy theory type though.
