Hello guys,I just got an important question.I am a newbei in promoting clickbank products.I always use hop links like the below one and try to cloak them by tinyurl for my customers:http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/?hop=my nicknamehttp://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com is the vendors page which you can see even if you doint use that "hop=my nickname"So It means that I just try to put my nickname (ie "?hop=my nickname") at the end of the vendor's link. Is my task correct please? Thanks beforehand

No, I wouldn't recommend doing that. Clickbank places cookies to identify and accredit affiliates for sales. By just tagging your Clickbank ID at the end of the vendor's page, you may not get credit for the sales you make. The correct form for affiliate links is AFFILIATE-ID.PUBLISHER-ID.hop.clickbank.net

You're best off just shortening the clickbank link to a tinyurl link or otherwise.

Have you tried testing it by clicking your own link and seeing if it counts as a HOP?

    Thank you alonbiz421,

I noticed that you are completely right.
Just one point, When I change my hop link the way you mentioned then "dot.tk" doesn't let me to redirect/cloak it! There is no problem with redirecting/cloaking when I use the method I mentioned In my first post! Yet I don't know what's wrong?1

which link you are talking about Beven? That long nasty link generated by clickbank or the link I talked about in my first post?
You know before 2 days ago I was sure that i counts my clicks, but after that I noticed that it do it every now and then! That's why I tried to search to see what's wrong and then tried to start this thread.

I always test my links after I've placed them. Of course, for Clickbank it can sometimes take hours to show.

If you have your own hosting account, why not spend $7-$10 on a domain name so you can do you own cloaking/redirecting? After you've bought your domain name, install wordpress and "Pretty Link" (google it). Pretty link will allow you to do your own cloaking and redirecting. Most url shorteners don't like Clickbank affiliate links.

No, don't do this. Clickbank uses cookie tracking to track the clicks.
Make use of URL shorteners like bitly and tinyurl.

    Thanks for your reply,

To be honest I just promote Clickbank Products via Youtube, it means I don't have any Hosting account or domain.

I guess I can redirect/cloak my CB affiliate links just by buying a domain. I have 2 problems in this regard.

Which provider is the best for my job please?

If youtube bans one of my YT accounts then am I in the safe side with my other account which may be connected to that domain if you know what I mean?

Finally can I buy a domain for more than 1 year? or I have to renew it every year? I mean I would like to but a domain for say 2-3 years. can i do it?

    thanks

Yes I notice that, thank you buddy.

bitly as I have heard is not so good to be used for this job. right now I am trying to use tinyurl, x.vu and gg.gg for cloaking, but I guess they can affect the number of sells, because maybe some people don't like to click on them?

Go to the order form and look at the bottom of the page. If it displays your username, you are okay to go with that link. If not, then use the format clickbank told you to.

Well, it's been about three years since I've done any Youtube marketing, but I'll tell you what I would do in your situation.

First, I would buy a shared hosting account. Make sure you get an account that allow you to add unlimited domain names. That will cost you around $7-15/mo. (The hostgator baby plan is $9.95/mo I believe and it works just fine.)

Next, I would buy some cheap domain name extensions. .info links used to be a dollar, but I believe they're a little higher now. By having multiple domain names, you can help protect yourself from youtube blacklisting your links.

Again, this advice is coming from someone who hasn't done any Youtube marketing for at least 3 years.

    Do what works for you.
