Hi,

I have some articles that I want to check with Copyscape (I wrote them). How can I check them without paying?

Thanks

Upload them to a website (you can use a free blog like blogger.com) and then paste the link into copyscape.

Create a free blogger blog and use it. It takes about 2 minutes and it will always be there for you to use...

Just shell out the $5.00 for 100 searches. It's a pain to paste them to your blog, check them, and then delete the blog entry.

YES YOU HAVE TO DELETE THE BLOG ENTRY. Otherwise if you don't, AC can run a copyscape on your article and find it on your blog! I submitted an article that was written for me, posted it on my blog to run a copyscape, forgot to delete it, and the article got rejected saying that my content was found elsewhere on the web.

how ac checking the article? do you think they use this method also :D
there must be some other way... i think..

I have to check 10-30 articles per day if they pass Copyscape. Here's what I do to get pass the free limitations:

1. I create 1-10 subdomains on one of my domains. Something simple, like a1.domain.com, a2.domain.com, a3.domain.com

2. I copy my article to notepad and save it as html-file. No need to add any HTML code.

3. Then I transfer it to my first subdomain and check with Copyscape. Then move to next article. Copyscape now allows only 5 searches per domain, so once that is up move to next subdomain.

4. Copyscape also allows only 10 searches (per month, I guess) from your IP/network. Once you hit that, just go to proxy.org and select random proxy and continue the process. Once your done, just delete your subdomains.

It might sound like a lenghty process, but it's really not.

If you're cheap like me, just paste them on blogger and check with Copyscape. Create a new blog everytime you reach Copyscape's limit.

Here's exactly what I do. If you're using Firefox, you can right click the search box of Copyscape then click 'Add a keyword for this search'. In my case, I set the keyword to 'c'.

Now, I'll paste my article to my dummy blog. Let's say my blog's address is: hxxp://dummyblog.blogspot.com. I will then open a new tab and enter this in my Firefox address box:

Code:
c hxxp://dummyblog.blogspot.com

Notice the 'c' before the blog url. It will now return copyscape results for my article. After that, I'll go back to my blog and edit my first post with another article. Back to my copyscape tab, then hit 'F5' for refresh. Just click 'Resend' if a notification pops out.

If you're used to it, you can check 5 articles in less than a minute.

Otherwise, just pay $5 for 100 searches.
