Well our Company got this form a intellectual property office asia now i am confused what to reply them as our company is registered in different country than this so anyone who can help me draft the letter. I have changed the original name to XXXX due to privacy.

Dear Sir or Madam,

This is a formal mail requesting the double checking of "XXXXXX" Brand Registration. We are the official body responsible for Intellectual Property (IP) rights. I have something to confirm with you.Our branch registration team formally received an application twice on April 30, 2014 that a company which named "XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX Co.,Ltd" was applying to register "XXXXXX" as their Brand Name and domain names through us.

Now we are handling this case, and after our initial checking,we found the name "XXXXXX" has already assigned specially to your company,so we need to check with you whether it has asked your company for permission to register these "XXXXXX" names or not.

If you authorized this,we will accept the request soon.If not, there may be some other purposes through this grabbing registration, please let us know within 4 workdays ASAP,so that we will handle this issue better.Out of the time limit we will unconditionally complete the "XXXXXX" registration for "XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX Co.,Ltd ".

Please confirm to me in time.Looking forward to your prompt reply.Thank you for your help on this matter.

Best Regards,

we currently own XXXXXX . com now if we don't answer will they be in position of taking the domain.

Well, make sure it's not an extortion, a lot of people out there who send that kind of crap and try to settle with you by saying, ok if you pay this much, then you can keep it, or whatever.

If you read what that person wrote to you, it doesn't sound like they have any legal background at all, just some dickhead or a competitor of yours, trying to scare you. No one desperately writes like that when pushing for trademark infringements.

Also, they can register themselves as the trademark in one country, but that doesn't mean they own that trademark internationally, I heard somewhere that a country trademarked like the iwatch or something, and apple bought that right from them, instead of saying "we own your ass".

I would seek legal counsel if I were you, there are some on fiverr that are pretty useful.

I've had a company push trademark infringement on me, and I ignored them, and they kept sending me the same letter and I didn't even use all their words, and they wouldnt pursue further legal actions, cause they cant afford it.

I've seen an example where this company incorporated their business name that is the same as another business name, but put ".com" at the end, and it was a totally different enterprise, and they got away with it. So if you call your company .Asia at the end, and say your an enterprise running in asia, and the company who owns that "limited" corporation operates in america and is registered there, they cant do **** all about it.

Seek legal counsel and professional advice first, before proceeding with anything.

Who is the return email address from?
Having a hard time understanding.
If it's just some random company I'd just ignore it.
MOre than likely they have no authority over here.

I had something similar but they were letting me know they would register it in China if I didn't pay. OK cause that means they can't sell my brand in US.There gona have to show up with more than piss poor e-mailMy response was I'll kick your bass and take your nasty porn back video... It was funny at the time.

We believe you value your work as much as we do. It has come to our attention that your firm is registering a name with XXXXXX for XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX Co.,Ltd from the email you wrote on Friday, May 02, 2014 To [email protected] . We would like to know about your company status are you the register trademark company, do you have legal documents that proof that you are the trademark registration firm . Let it be clear to you that we didn't receive any letter or email from XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX Co.,Ltd. We have not given any permission to any company for the registration of XXXXXXX.

We have not authorized anyone to use our name for any purposes and, therefore, as the true owner, we demand that you immediately cease and desist from using and from permitting any third party to register the name.

We are hereby demanding a full explanation of this matter. If we do not hear from you within three days from the date of this letter, we will be forced to pursue further action against you.

Regards

It's obvious from the terrible grammar, spelling and punctuation that this is a fake email.

Totally fake they'll try and get you to buy domains you don't need at hugely inflated prices.
