Has anyone tried something similar to this?

Create a second channel. Then put some of your own original content inside a video and upload it. Then copyright claim that video from your main channel that actually has adsense enabled. So then u could essentially bypass having to get the second channel monetized, but still make money off of the videos.

I'm a music producer and I thought maybe I could make compilation videos, but put my own original music throughout the entirety of the video just so I could claim it. And it wouldn't only be bypassing channel monetization status, but the inevitable demonetization that comes from copyright claims in compilations with unoriginal content.

Anyone with experience doing this or have a good idea how it would actually play out?

Damn that's interesting. Thanks OP. I'd be curious to know if this works as well.

And then afterwards send a ton of fake traffic and see if you can make money off the striked video with no risk to you. Lol! Don't associate it with you at all of course. ;)

I always thought of this. Sure you could do it but be smart and don't get caught otherwise you lose both channels.

you can't copyright claim if you're not a CMS
I use audiam to distribute music for copyright id already. Idk what the big difference would be. It already automatically copyright claims videos containing my music that I distributed through audiam. So I would just make sure to distribute it first then.

I doubt you will be able to do that with a normal channel.

Sounds like a good idea and if done without leaving footprints I don't see a reason why this wouldn't work.

I think it is called the copy claim method, many people here say it does work
