i was planning on rewriting/spinning an authors ebook i got from tpb and selling it online but how much would i need to change in the book so i wont get in trouble?

I have rewritten a few ebooks before, however I was not selling them, I was giving them away and uploading them to torrent sites.

I completely rewritten the eBooks I did, the books was based on forex strategies, basically the strategy was the same, but in different words. I would not make it too obvious what you are writing is copied. ie change everything, every sentence and paragraph.

Instead of worrying you could just write your own!

would i have to change the images as well as that? should i put a random name on the book cover?

I have rewritten ebooks but not for selling, I managed to get my hands on a few ebooks. I was offering the rewritten ebooks for new subscribers to my email list.

I don't know how it will go for you if you plan to sell the ebook, but make sure you are rewriting every word in the ebook.

if i leave the pictures and images (apart from the cover) unchanged will that be okay?

You could cite the ebook. E.g. 20 people publish 20 books on the same theory. Just use different words and if you use images, reference them.

i wont recommend it.. its just the idea thats been copyrighted.. not words.. so wat ever u write, it will have same idea.. if u can understand idea and try to produce a different version of idea then you will be good to go..
