so I pretty much uploaded some videos today and they where all taken down and had a copy right claim on them. Can these eventually become serious? Or does this just mean they requested the video get taken down and thats about it? Just want to know so I know if I should upload more vidoes or leave it alone.

This happened to me about 2 years ago. Nothing really serious about it as far as I know no company will want to hunt down for a simple upload on YouTube.
All they ever did to me was ban me and that was as bad as it gets.

Take it as a warning, if you are a repeated violator then don't expect them to take it lightly.

do you have a copyright strike on your account now?

because if you get three copyright strikes, your account and all videos uploaded to that account will be removed.

well it was about 3 vidoes to 3 different accounts. If its a brand new account each time then can I get in serious trouble? or just uploaded several times to the same account?

guess an example I can best use is a movie niche. Like claiming I have the movie blah blah blah then the owners come and do a claim on the video. Can you get in serious trouble for that? I have just never had that happen before so just curious :)

youtube account with a Copyright Strike can't get partnered! and A 3rd strike will terminate your account and use of YouTube.

What do you mean by getting in trouble? Your account can be deleted, but if you shelter yourself by using a VPS or at least a proxy, paid for by paypal accounts, it's extremely difficult for them to get your personal information. They know this, so just don't make yourself low hanging fruit and you'll be ok.

Also remember, there are people in the CPA crowd who create thousands of youtube accounts per day, many of which are uploading copyrighted content. You're one of a million.

3 strikes and you are out. Problem is if you want to be famous, well DON'T get a copyright strike unless you are in a network. Problem solved by being BlackHat about things. Also, you can challenge the copyright strike if you want to, but if you did violate then you are screwed.

If it got striked immediately on upload than that is a bot that detected it. All you have to do is modify it alittle so the bot cannot recognize it as copyright material.

It only gets serious once you file a counter claim against the DMCA claim. And that's only if they disagree. Otherwise a dmca claim won't do shit if you just accept it (remove the video) and move on (rinse and repeat).
