I read somewhere that if you are caught by Google, they will terminate your adsense account if you are displaying adverts on pages with copied-content.

I guess the best read is to refer the adsense TOS.

No unless and untill your website does not add value content to the users. Means you should have meaningful content. I never heard or read anywhere with they lost there account because dupe content.

    Regards

Depends on the account. If you make them good money, the most they will do is send you an email saying the site violates the webmaster guidelines and either fix it or remove the ads.

I never play with duplicated content. Better rewrite your articles a bit. At least it is not completely the same with the original.
I rewrite my articles and they still don't ban me (they pay well, too :D)

Duplicated content lets google drop your site in the last positions, that means no value on google results/ranking. let's assume that your adsense account will be alive for 50 years... will you benefit from adsense? $5/day?
rewrite this content, insert your modification and add some pictures/videos, add what can help people and what people like ..... that's better.
If you want to use this duplicated content, you'll still a newbie.

I can't disagree more, this looks almost as a white hat forum.

    1) you don't have to think only in google

    2) dupe content could be really good for read, but not for ranking

Thinks this: you use some rewrited or even original content, that makes you rank, but you also have a lot of duplicated or plr content in your blog. That content wont rank, but could interest the casual visitor.

I think you don't have to rely in duplicated content, but you can use it

Stop doing that; as soon as your account reaches certain balance, your account becomes closely monitored.

Lets say, you have reached $1000 total earnings. From that point, every click and impression will be under the watchful eye of Google.

Good news is; there are other ways to monetize a website than Adsense ;)
