I am posting this because most people dont know this and this is a sneaky way of knowing how many clicks etc your competitior is getting if they are using bit.ly

the trick is you add a + in the end of the link for eg

    normal bit.ly link

    HTML:
    http://bit.ly/erfF03
Link with "+" added at the end so that you can see the traffic stats

    Code:
    http://bit.ly/erfF03+
    Enjoy!

Oh yeah, I thought anyone with a brain could figure that out. :D

I have been using this for some time now, mostly for the "referrer" part. Works very well for what I'm trying to do.

    Thanks for sharing!

Im not one to usually rag on people sharing tricks like this... But if you didn't know you could do that... I just don't know what to say. Not only that, but this is filed under the "Making Money" section, which I don't get either. If you want to see if you can do this on ANY url shortener, just create 2 links on their service. If the link to the statistics (if they offer it) is basically the same, then you can do it. Many shortening services create a unique code or password system though.

The referrer part is very usefull.

See where your competitor gets most his traffic from, and spam the hell out of that place. :D

Great tip, I bet not everybody knew this already. But the ones that use bit.ly on a regular bass should know this.

Yeah, picked that up from my buddy(not) Jason Fadlien (he giggles too much to take serious).

Go to WF and check out the top banner offers, and look at their stats if they use bit.ly; and some do.

    I've always done that.

If you see your own links you would (or should) notice the link to the tracking has only a "+", so this should apply to every bit.ly link...

Anyway, Nice for those who did not know it...
