Hey all, was inspired by another thread a little earilier. This is a pretty cool way of getting free content, i think! Don't think this has been done yet?

Make a website for an imaginary newspaper
Post ad's on all the classified sites saying that you hiring fulltime/freelance writers (put in some huge salary)
In the ad, say: to apply please send in your CV, with a covering letter as well as a sample article on a topic of your choice (500 words or more)
Don't actually hire anyone (obviously) and use all the articles people send you for your blog!
    :D

I would be curious to see how this works, if anyone is going to try it.

Most professional writers I know (a few) are pretty knowledgable about copyright law (they have to be) and remedies for violating copyright and fraud. They also know (usually from teachers) how to search the net for duplicate submissions.

It would probably be easier to either outsource the writing or spin some PLR articles. There's certainly enough downloads on here to keep you busy for a time.

But if anyone tries this, please report back. Thanks! :)

posted some ads on gumtree australia, got 2 replies, both asking questions about how the payment takes place etc.. But looks like it could work for getting a bit of content for free.
