I'll prefix this by saying that I do not use any friend adders on facebook, nor do I market on facebook currently.

I have a very common name. I friend requested about 50 people with my exact same name on my personal facebook account. I didn't send messages to any of those people.

    This was my facebook status:

30 of those people friended me back, and a lot of them have talked to me in facebook chat about how it's cool we have the same name, what I do, where I live, ect. People immediately identified with me based on sharing the same name. Like I said, I'm not a facebook marketer, I don't know what kind of turnaround you guys get for sent/accepted friend requests, but 30/50 can't be bad.

    Code:
    http://techcrunch.com/top-100-most-common-full-names-on-facebook/
Here is a list of the 100 most common full names on facebook. This list includes iterations on names (Michael Smith and Mike Smith would have seperate statistics on this list) Keep in mind some names could be applied to both genders, "Jessy" could add all of the Jessicas as well as the male Jessys. I hope this ends up helping some people out, because BHW members have given me a lot of good info and I'd like to give something back.

this idea can be expanded in several ways, for example sent/accepted ratios will no doubt be further improved by using these common names so that people might think you are the "name" they know

    thanks for the share!

Yeah, the top 100 full names list is included in code tags in the post. Some of them might not be workable, though. (I doubt there are many people who have the legal name "Muhammad Ali")

If you see success with the list of most common full names, you can mix and match the most common first and last names, too.

I figured it might give at least a small percentage increase in facebook friend accepts for people who add tons of friends every day on multiple accounts. Like I said, I'm no facebook marketer, I just saw good results messing with my own facebook page and thought I would share my experiment.
