Converting A Facebook Profile to a Fanpage. Anyone have it working?

OK, so a few months ago, maybe more.

I was trying out the convert profile to fanpage feature, and I was able to get it successfully working on an old account that I had always logged into from the same IP.

But when I used a new account or an old account bought from someone, added friends to it and then tried to convert it to a fanpage I always got the "You need to be logged in from the same location". So I assumed you need to wait like 1 week using the same IP for it to work. But I'm not sure.

Do you have any strategies to get it to work consistently?

I havent tested out the feature recently, so im not sure if things might have changed by now.

you can verify that account using a mobile number, hit " log me out from other devices " and uncheck all security functions like ( ask for code when logged in from other device etc.) and then try it, it will work.

it's better to name your account something similar to the required page name like if your page name is ( something.net ) you can rename your account to : Something Net

Yes emptyzero is right, First rename that account to something similar to page you want to convert. Coz facebook doesnt allow to convert profile to something which are not even related. And try to use that account for some more days, and just go to setting and change some login settings and remove previous login session if they exist.
