Hi guys, I've a question about the new update of google that requires mobile version...

Actually I have a theme that doesn't have the mobile version...so now don't know how to make it working. I use Wordpress with few plugins like Woocommerce.

Can I install a mobile theme and switch to it only when is on mobile (child theme?) or what? I'm fucking confused

How I should start? I've tried the jetpack plugin but seems that I cannot modify it. Dudamobile have made an awesome work but I was paid 100$ for the website and the plugin costs 150$+ (my bad, it's a friend and I've made a wrong quote).

How I can start? I've 5 static pages and Woocommerce, what I should do?

    Thanks a lot!

EDIT: I've also a paid theme that is responsive (and support woocommerce too). If I install a "switcher" to recognize the mobile, would this be fine? It's ok with SEO? Should I install this theme as child or what?

OK guys, here it is. I have a network of porn sites and they were on the adultsiteskins non-responsive themes. Damn, I thought, I'm screwed. Seemingly not. Just go to wordpress.org and download WPtouch. Install et viola. C'est simple! I know it works cos I not only checked my site on my tablet, I checked Google today and they scanned my site and said it was mobile ready! Here's the link! I'm too good to you! :) https://wordpress.org/plugins/wptouch/

The 3.7 rating isn't great but like I said it works for all my sites and hasn't crashed them! By the way I used the free version.

Let me know how you get on.

tried it, my website looks blank.

EDIT: I'm trying to figure out and found "Device Theme Switcher" that should be able to switch themes by devices, I'll update soon, fingers crossed!

EDIT2: Seems working, now I need to understand how to config correctly the two themes...maybe by activating the mobile one, set it and then reactivate the normal one? In this case the changes will remain on the theme that I use as mobile and will work fine?

That's really strange. Like I said I'm running the adultsiteskins themes. Hope you sort things out mate.

very helpfull! actually I've installed something optimized and the google tool say that it's all fine. I've made a mistake for this client, next time I'll look for theme better!
PS: Actually if all works I'll make a step-by-step guide, hope to help others :)

EDIT: seems that the "trick" to activate the theme for the mobile, set it and then re-activate the original one, doesn't make the work (I need to edit the menu, add a slider and so on). If the theme remain active, instead, menu and slider works fine...any suggestion?

Try implementing bootstrap on your theme, or hire someone to make your theme mobile optimized :D
