You will need full Acrobat. The program will install a "distiller" which will be shown under your print options.
Open the Excel file, choose file, print, acrobat distiller. It will bring up a box with which you can name your file and save in pdf format.
Without the full version of acrobat, you can't do this.

Well how about the easy and trusted way , use google documents to write what ever you wanaa write and export the file as PDF or any other file you want.
.If you have a doc file , just upload it and convert it into any file format you need....
    Hope it helps

I'm with Technorated on this one... FOXIT PDF Creator works like a charm... install it and then it adds a "PDF Printer" to your computer. This lets you choose to make a PDF from any program that you can print from.

    yeh, seriously guys. http://www.openoffice.org

    1. It's free
    2. It's practically the same thing as Microsoft Office but, FREE :D !
    3. Built in Document 2 PDF converter no 3rd party tools needed.

What other explanation do you need?

PS: I also like the Google Docs option. The other links mentioned thus far I've tried most of them and have not been that impressed.

Converting to PDF with google docs is a joke currently.. At least with any kind of formatting from the original DOC still in tact.

    Just downloaded OpenOffice Portable from

    Code:
    http://download.cnet.com/OpenOffice-org-Portable/3000-2064_4-10526815.html
    Works great, no install required

You can also download PrimoPdf (Google it) and it gets installed as a 'virtual printer' on your computer. You then can print your opened doc files with primo pdf. This is probably the best thing out there!

I make tons of ebooks every week and I use this
