    Hey People,
Here are some thoughts of mine I compiled together for an Effective Content Writing. I see people here who do real deal SEO but end up settling down for an average content and then complain on no boost in SERP or can't pass their competitors!

Hope this thread helps you pen down some serious content for your upcoming campaigns.

What according to you IS content?

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, content has several definitions, the one that stands out: “The principal substance (as written matter, illustrations, or music) offered by the World Wide Web.”

Most of us tend to limit its definition to information presented in written format alone; how wrong we are! In fact, just about anything available in written, graphics, and audio format IS content. The newspaper headlines that you’re ever eager to read every morning, the multitude of ads sprawled over the expanse of paper - that’s content; the music you listen to, to calm your nerves; and of course, whatever the internet has to offer is a combination of all three elements.

Telling amateur content from exemplary content

If you’re hoping for someone to take heed to what you’re saying, mediocre quality doesn’t cut it. Unless you package your article with the right style, tone, and quality, consider it a blessing if your content gets a second glance. People are competitive than ever before, and if you don’t have what it takes to deliver an out-of-this-world content, it’s game over!

You need to take into consideration the buzzing lifestyle of the common man. The day probably begins in utter chaos in the rush to toggle between work and home, and everybody is on a deadline of some kind. Imagine the pressure on your senses; people need relevant information in a small yet effective package. You might be itching to stuff your mode of content with tons of matter; DON’T! Tell your story in the smartest and shortest way - keep things short, sweet, and informative. If you don’t have your audience’s attention within the first three seconds, it might be a little too late.

Say what you want to within the first three seconds effectively and with intensity. Those first few minutes becomes the deciding factor for your audience - they either take the bait or they’ll take a different route.

The demographics of your content solely depends on your creative streak, and how far you’re willing to go with it to get noticed. There’s content, and there’s amazing content - the latter is the kind that speaks volumes without being too wordy and sounding exaggerated. The structure of top-notch content demands a logical flow of events made possible using tremendous research, skill, and creativity. Simply put, exemplary content demands a bold, smart, unique, and very out-there attitude to get some heads to turn your way.

Be the torchbearer to delivering outstanding content
    • Use a catchy and intriguing opening line / headline / graphic to keep the user eager and wanting
    • Maintain a logical flow of events
    • Make your content informative, but not heavy
    • Keep the language simple and straightforward
    • Don’t meander from your goal; stay focused at all times
    • Make sure there’s an introduction, body, and conclusion
    • Give your audience something to mull over when you wrap up
    • Stay connected via social media to understand the latest trends
    • Be alert to the kind of information most sought-out by people

The transition of content over the years

There was a time when content was limited to radios, television, books, and newspapers. Today, just about everything you work with involves content. This mammoth revolution began when computers and the world wide web were married to each other to birth content that went far beyond our imagination.

Recall the days when we filed our way to the television and fought for the remote? Those were tough times indeed! The world is your playground; there are more ways than one to find exceptional content that appeals to you in this millennium. Music, books, television, movies, flyers, brochures, advertisements - all of this and much more is available on the World Wide Web.

It was on August 6, 1991 that the internet opened its doors to the public; ever since, it has taken the industry by storm! Just about everything from reading headlines over a cup of coffee to downloading the latest music has become simpler and magnified in quality. However, if you don’t like what you see, you definitely aren’t going to want to get to the bottom of it. It’s just like food psychology - if what you see doesn’t look appetizing enough, you would resist taking a bite out of it.

Breaking away from trial-and-error to refined content

The content circulating over the internet came to be from lessons learnt over the years. Learning comes from being sensitive and alert to what’s trending and people psychology. It’s not just content and the medium of presentation that’s evolved; the interests and demands of people have also taken a tremendous leap. It’s no more about WHAT content goes viral ‘cause that’s just half the battle won; 80% depends on the strategy and conceptualization that goes into it.

Getting your message loud and clear to the masses within a given timeline is tough. The human mind constantly craves originality and creativity. It gets difficult when your audience knows exactly what they want; considering them to be mute spectators would be foolish. However, the evolution of content and its maturity wouldn’t have been possible without following through with the trial and error concept! If it weren’t for the audience’s feedbacks and responses, how should one work towards bettering their resources? In fact, it’s the gestures and communication from the public that fosters the culmination of refined content. And there’s absolutely no shortcut to get to the pinnacle unless and until you have tried till your wits end before you finally nail it! As the philosopher Lao Tzu rightly puts it - “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Content is not just about stringing words together. It’s about piecing thoughts in an innovative, logical, and sensitive manner to initiate a response from your target audience.

Know your end users, understand what they need and you'll find the way to reach them with your content.

Somtimes, it is difficult to know what customers are thinking, and I write one new creative blog to reach them everyday, but I am not sure that they like it.

Time speaks buddy, not every content had turned out viral in a day or so. Online users love content that is fresh, unique, innovative and information rich, you'll have your crowd if you had been doing the same. All the best and happy to help you anytime.

It's hard to understand what the users like and want. Or do you know the way how one can find it out?

Nice post, thanks for sharing. The content is main weapon for your SEO, the content should be informative, fresh, unique. The keywords should be stuffed properly in proper amount. And for blogs the title should be impressive and it should make people curious to read your blog post.
