I was talking with a forum owner that I know and he said he cleaned up threads on his forum that were old and that had minimal to no current traffic. Meaning, no searches from search engines and were just taking up space. He said that his rankings improved shortly thereafter and believes this to be the cause. Google isn't a fan of low quality content, I've heard that before. Does deleting low quality threads with minimal to no responses really make your site better? Would this extend to blog posts too? What if I have like 400 posts on my blog that are 250 words or more? If I were to delete the ones no longer getting a few views here and there would it actually improve my blog? What are your thoughts? I haven't really SEO'd the random posts ever so it's not like I'd be removing backlinks.
