Hey BHW do you guys have any advice on how to best search for and find the highest PR sites in your niche for the purpose of link building? are there any free tools out that will help with this?

what I have done so far is just search Google for related keywords to find sites in my niche then contacting the site owners and asking them for a one way site wide do follow link from there site pointing to mine.

I think the guy who makes 15k a month with adsense posted something about how to do this but I can't find the post

    any advice is welcome

First, go manually. Use google with related search terms.

Second, Link exchange, in my opinion, is a 100% useless.
Even if you do a 3 way.

    That's purely old SEO.

thanks for your advice Bross. I have noticed when contacting them that many of the site owners offer advertising space to have your ad placed on there site for a monthly fee. Most of the monthly fees are not more then the cost of my VPS with wired tree. So many be it's not a total loss I was thinking about testing out some ads to get some more traffic to my sites or direct link to CJ.com

BTW I was not thinking about doing any exchanges just think about having them put link for me on there site and maybe i would pay them.

Not to change the subject of the thread but has anyone test this out with buying advertising space. I know the term is referred to as media buying but these guys are not going by CPM or CPC or anything like that they are charging a monthly fee.

what do you think worth a test? or should I start a new thread with this question?

I think that its unless unless you buy a "media spot" on a very well visited website, and if to say you don't get banner space but just a link somewhere - I can't see that working.

Many of those who sell links sell them purely for SEO benefits. And it can't be worth it. Say you get a PR4 backlink from some website.. so what? you can get those free.

As for traffic. I can advise that submitting a few good articles to Ezine is much better than to buy links. And it's free.

And as a side note.. nobody will post a free link for you.. You must pay. it can range from $1 to $XXXX depending on the website.
In terms of ROI.. you do the math; if you expect conversions then OK try it if it's not so expensive... you can find "goldmines" if you look deep enough.. but very few and you need to have a conversion tactic in place.

Good luck.. I'm sure people will be happy to hear about your results if you go for it.

Hey sorry for the long delay my internet went out because of bad weather.

Yea I was talking about buying banner space from a couple of these sites for the purpose of traffic not backlinks --sorry if I was not clear on that. And yes they allow up to 4 banner spaces not text links. per package deal.

some of the sites get between 40k and 100 UVs a day and rank at the number one spot in Google for some of the most searched for relevant keywords in my niche and believe it or not some even offer free banner space. I mean this seems to good to be true but I am going to test it out to see for sure.

what did you mean by conversion gameplan? you mean pre sell the visitor with an LP and not direct link? I also assume that I will need to create some custom creatives for the use of Banner ads as most of the creatives I could get from the merchant are not that great and available to all affiliates. I will have to get photoshop or gimp or something.

I guess I should have posted the second part of this in another section but kinda found it while I was contacting the sites for links.

And yes I have ordered around 20-30 articles and have been thinking about incorporating article marketing into my game plan with EZA, article base and goarticles but have not been able to sign up with goarticles because they only allow a certain kind of e-mail to sign up with not gmail, or yahoo or anything like that.

thanks so much for you help Bross I be sure to keep you posted after I test this out. I can't wait. I'm stoked

thanks and rep coming your way bro!
