Contact webmaster to add link - Did I offer too much?

So, I contacted some webmasters to add links to niche relevant articles ranking on google.
To add the link to an existing article I offered 30 euro, the webmaster accepted but as I never did this I was wondering is it a good price or did I offer too much?
What is your first offer and how do you decide it?
- Website is 10 years old (first article 2018), nice, the article is ranking (found it on google search).
- Ahrefs rank is 3 but has link from 100+ domains, monthly traffic is just 300.
What do you think?

Seems like an acceptable price as long as it isn't riddled with spam posts.

For 300 monthly traffic you could have probably offered less but $30 it's usually a good starting point when you outreach

Yes, I checked traffic just when he accepted and that's when I questioned my first proposal. I think anyway that offering less than 20 is difficult!
