Is it true that your site ranks higher when you have these 3 pages? If so, why?
Id like to know also currently i just have a one page sales page :\
it has nothing to do with SEO, but google gives weightage to a site that has disclaimers and terms of service than those not having it.it's again google algorithm.
Having those pages makes a site seem more legitimate. Not some fly-by-night website that's going to just scam a bunch of people and then go away leaving no trace. It's true that the info could all be bullshit anyway, but at least by having it the site shows some amount of compliance with good business practices. Google considers that a good thing and will give some weight to a few factors in the algorithm. They just see it as one factor that a trusted site should have.
Even though it's a good idea to have the pages, you really don't want them getting indexed either. You should include nofollow on the pages, and a lot of people even recommend including no index as well. Google will still know you have them, but won't display them in the serp that way.
And with a new site, more trust helps skipping the sandbox.
I have found this to be the case.
Having about us page is aso important.
these pages also increase your quality score in adwords.
There are several ways of checking this.
These pags can often have higher PR's
check with authority sites and you notice trend.
also check site links in serps pages you will notice
some of these pages turning up.
Google like sites that provide phone numbers addresses and maps,
this also increases the validation of trust. Google want to provde results than can tust.
These are my experiences.
If so, what would be the exact names to pick, and whats about different languages at least in germany there are minimum two legally correct ways would google pick both up? I am not so sure about this theory...
also another thought: what if there was a blog / subpages /forum on one website and the TOS/Imprint/Contact is listed already on the homepage i dont think it makes sense to add all items again. And i dont think google would judge this page badly because it has not tos/contact/... or would it?
Separate names with a comma.
