    Hi,

I just wanted to install a contact form on a free wordpress blog but forgot that there is no plugin section to
    choose one contact form version.

Is there a way to insert it nonetheless?

Wordpress.com provides its own contact form. There should be a button that says "Add Contact Form" at the top of the post editing screen.

    The shortcode looks like this:

    Code:
    [contact-form]
    [contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /]
    [contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /]
    [contact-field label="Website" type="url" /]
    [contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /]
    [/contact-form]

Is it wordpress.com or wordpress.org that you are using? If it is wordpress.com use the solution above, if it is Wordpress.org, use Contact Form 7. It is the best one and is updated.
