I am in usa
if I go to coffee shop and use their ip address to spam, what are the consequences of an abuse report?
1) coffee shop will say our wifi is open to the public, we don't know who it was and that will be the end of it
or
2) there will be further investigation like checking cameras, checking laptop mac address and they will find me

I promise no one's gonna open an investigation to check the cameras to see who spammed 1,000 blogs with WordPress comments.
let's say 10% of the blog admins, or 100 admins, get pissed off and are determined to punish me. they submit an abuse report to the isp. consequence?

I am not doing anything automated. I want to comment on some blogs that require login. I want to create some accounts by hand and comment and include my link in the comments. 1000 blogs. let's say 10% of the admins get pissed off and submit an abuse report to the isp.
why dont you just buy proxies for 2 dollars instead of paying more for the coffee?

Those were the days... I used to have a route where I would go to a bunch of shops to spam.

You should probably be OK.

they don't care, bro! And even if they do, they won't care enough to actively hunt you down because 1000s of others do the same thing as you, so it's not worthwhile chasing ghosts when it's also not profitable.

Just do whatever you need to do to get those backlinks :)

This isn't like back in the day, you have much easier and many more choices now. Like others said, you can just buy proxies. You can also scrape proxies though they may or may not work depending on what you're trying to do. You can do either of these from the comfort of your own home, where you hopefully have much better coffee than the coffee shop.

Or, as you suggest, buy a coffee or something and sit there at the coffee shop and do it. No one's going to investigate, unless you're threatening public violence or something that involves higher powers. At worst, the coffee shops IP address is banned from certain websites, maybe blacklisted temporarily if you're going over the top with it and again, depending on what you're doing.

So long as you aren't doing anything that uses certain trigger words, or threatens certain higher powers, no one cares you emailed a thousand people about extending their car's warranty....

Spam? You can't even check your email on public wifi without having to fill the captcha 50 times.

I mentioned above but I understand if you missed it. I don't want to use proxies because clean, residential ip has higher success rate

that hasn't been my experience. coffee shops around me all have clean, residential ip

Not going to happen.

Not to throw shade but you are not worth hunting down for using a coffee shop's Wifi.

In fact, none of us are.

When did it become illegal to post comments on blogs? :D

I already answered, and that's AFTER I have read your obsessive remark about someone being pissed off at you. But if someone's pissed off enough to hunt you down they probably will regardless, and this has nothing to do with SEO, but rather with mental illness

Unless you're trafficking drugs, committing fraud, or scamming, you'll be totally fine :)
