    Hello BHW,

I know that getting backlinks from same IP address will count as only 1 link.
I was searching to host my own domains with different IP address on each domain.
As my current godaddy deluxe hosting allows me to host unlimited domains but all domains are showing me same IP address.
and As I said above SEO point of view this is not good right?
Then I found this comment from godday support:

"If you?re looking to get different IPs for SEO, that really won?t help much. Search engines don?t really care about the IP much (given how a lot of sites are hosted on shared servers/shared IPs), and is a very minor factor for SEO.
However, if you still want multiple IP addresses, you have a couple of options: you would need to purchase multiple web hosting plans and Dedicated IPs/SSLs (since if you don?t, they?d be using the server?s shared IP), or setting up a Virtual Dedicated Server or Dedicated Server. A server plan comes with up to 3 dedicated IPs for free, but you?d have to purchase extra ones beyond that (and they would have to be for justifiable reasons, like using an SSL certificate, before they would be issued)."

What you thing about this doing with same IP address or assigning different to each? It is effective SEO point of view?

    Jhakasseo,

I'm not sure you will find a definitive answer on this. I've seen this question in a number of different forums and I have also searched for an answer to it myself. In general, Google and other engines know that websites that may be completely unrelated to each other will have the same IP address because they are on a shared hosting plan. So these sites can operate and link to one another as separate entities just fine.

By that same rule, it makes sense that a web master would be able to purchase multiple domains on the same shared hosting plan and link them together without any negative consequences. In my opinion, if you give any evidence that makes it look like all of the sites are owned by the same person and being used to create a link network, Google will probably figure it out sooner or later and devalue those links. I think this could happen even if you buy dedicated hosting plans. Similar content, footprints created by the webmaster, and other factors can give away the group of sites and make it look like they are all being operated by the same person.

A lot of opinions in this thread as well,

So understanding this as SEO point of view:
    Multiple domains
    Same IP on each domain
    Own by One person
    Same website (private blogs)

Getting Backlinks from these domain will count one click plus this will lead you to penalties.

    And...

    Multiple domains
    Same IP on each domain
    Own by One person
Different website (blogs, forums, personal website, business website, social website)

Getting Backlinks from these domain will not cause any negative effect.
    Is this right?

This is what I have worked out. The shared IP's are of no consequence. It is the other shared information that will get you in trouble.

I resell hosting, and all of my customers are on shared IP address. But each of these customers domain name information is different than mine. They do not link together because they have their own links coming in from all over./ The fact that I work on many of these sites tells me that the webmaster accessing these accounts is no problem.

I do not have trouble doing SEO on these accounts.

If I were to host three widget sites (red green and blue) in these servers with the same registration details and link them together I would imagine that it would be sorted out as a network pretty quickly.

It occurred to me that we should start a hosting account exchange, I give you a hosting account for your site on my IP and you give me one on yours. Then we could build up a vast pool of unrelated IP addresses we have use of located on different IP's all over the place..

    Edit:

Also, when I get a site making a little money, I usually move it over to private registration. These sites do not have any trouble ranking, even though I really own all of them. I do not link them together either.
