Confused about something big in regards to Adult Affiliate, please help

Hey so I'm a noob at Affiliate Programs. But since I have actually opened fake female accounts on dating sites before FOR FUN, I figured nows the time to make some money with it. I signed up for iHookup as an affiliate. I know basically I need to redirect people to the affiliate link, (using POF, OKCupid, etc...) but am I supposed to have my OWN site first, and have that site direct them to the link, or what? I'm confused. Do I direct them to the affiliate link, or will I get banned? Or am I supposed to create my own site with a link to the affiliate, which would result in PPL? I ask because ihookup says I for me to place code they give me on my own site. I'm sorry for this probably being a laughably stupid question. But I don't want to get banned from anywhere so I just need to know for sure how the process goes.
