[Concern] About a BHW sales thread with 300+ likes and 90% of comments are coming from newbie member. [in just 4 months??]

Hi,

Yesterday, i was looking for a someone [a service] to help me on my niche, aparently, i search and find services on marketplace here.

And i saw offering a service with my niche, so i go on the likes section on his bhw thread and i saw this:

I was really shock on the people who likes on his bhw sales thread. I was wondering this service is a great (because there are 353 likes on his bhw thread) So i click who are the people that likes on this thread and i saw this:







(95% of the likes are coming from newbie members of bhw. I dont know if he using some tools to generate bhw accounts or that is a real persons whi test on his service?)


Aside on that, i notice on the comment section, the reviews and the comments are coming from newbie members:







(95% of comments are coming from newbie members) [the comment section is on 25-26 pages so i see each pages, that almost all comments are coming from newbie members and his bump comment so that's why he reach 25-26 pages of comments)



Why im posting this?

I'm not against him and his bhw sales thread, it seems his service is legit (although I haven't tested it yet) My only concern was, if this is true (he make farm bhw accounts and spam on his bhw sales thread) this is againts the rules of bhw, also this is unfair for everyone especially on the buyers and sellers that might see on his bhw sales thread.



What is your thoughs about this? is this a legit (likes, comments and reviews) or not? Does the seller use special bot to make a hundreds of bhw accounts or not?



Ps: I will not disclose on the seller and his bhw thread to anyone except on the mods here.
Ps: My english skills are not 100%.

Pointless, I reported several fake accounts in the past and NONE got banned, no matter how clearly it was botting or post farming, no matter how clear the pattern was (which I watched over days to verify and reported too). All that happened was a little "don't do that again" warning, they then paused a few weeks and just continued.

Some people send their potential customers to an external link to buy their shit. And the per-requisite for a discount is linking the post and commenting on thread.
It could be artificial bumps as well though.

I'm looking into this thread for a while now (I believe). There are a few similar occurrences here and there, and the best way to deal with it is to gather some evidence and report the thread as well as some of the comments, or opening a support ticket with all the information you gathered.

Interesting... I believe that the mods are doing their best to stop members from creating such that threads with fake likes and reviews, however, that's not an easy job. Some members think that these kind of activities are allowed because the name of the forum is ... Black Hat!
And finally, I believe that the quality of a service is the only thing that can keep a sales thread alive, so if he provides quality service, the customers get back to him and use the service, but if he's breaking the rules, that's another story.

This is an issue that should be reported as soon as possible so that our marketplace team can look into it. You can send @Heiko a message with the thread link as he offered to look into it, or you can submit a report or a support ticket about the thread. For the record, all 3 of these options are anonymous to the member.

In regards to spam in the marketplace, there was a spam management update that we released recently. You cab read more about it in the quote below:

Updates to marketplace spam management have been implemented to our existing algo, removing the impact of spam / low value posts on the marketplace.
Marketplace merchants will still receive notifications about posts on their threads however the global visibility of those posts will be significantly reduced.
